LOL...I share Mike's sentiments. It's gotten to the point where I just
filter out Trevor and Kai and send their posts right to the trash can. That
one operation alone deletes almost half of what I don't care to read -
people trying to tell the list how it ought to operate. I really don't like
doing that because someday there may be something really worthwhile coming
in from one of them and I'll miss it...naaaaahhhhh!
I for one do not mind the 'MG parts for sale' on this list. I don't want to
subscribe to an ALL BRITISH Autojumble list - heavens - the number of parts
that have fallen off of Tr**mphs alone would obscure the few bits being
offered for MG's :) I think doing things in moderation is the key. If
someone were to post parts for sale on a daily basis - it would get old
fast...but if it were clearly marked as parts for sale - and I wasn't
looking for anything for my 'B (that will be the day!) I could delete it.
As far as off-topic threads (cats, dead musicians, why won't my chevy start,
painful rectal itch, etc) - most often they are covered appropriately in the
subject line - and I can choose to read or delete them without much effort -
though I have never knowingly deleted a cat thread entry prior to reading
it. I enjoy the humor - even though it is not always directly tied to "MG".
By the way - anyone have any good cat recipes? :)
