Sorry to disagree with you there, but that's not quite historically
correct.
The idea gave Cecil the idea of clothing a car body in cat skin - much
lighter than steel, rustproof and warmer in the winter.
The resulting car, with Edmund's smooth black and yellow coat, was
quickly nicknamed 'Old Speckled Cat' In fact, to this day, you can buy a
beer named after it. Sadly, the Cat Protection League complained, so the
beer has been renamed 'Old Speckled Hen'
Unfortunately, the idea was not a success - customers complained of being
chased by hoards of dogs as they drove down the street.
