Hey Skipper!
Oh oh. That 'old crud' part made me nervous. You did slip in a new
master rebuild didn't you? Some of that 'old crud' may have been a major
part of the hydraulic feel. In any case, no, clutch action should not
all be at the end of the pedal travel.
Start with a careful rebleed. As Nory says, you may not have found the
only problem.
