Well I'll chime in with my list
59 MGA (no engine)
61 MGA (MGB engine in a box)
Bought both for $300 started working on them in the parents garage and
they made me sell them before they got finished. About 1972
73 Chevy Vega Wagon, Graduation present. Oil pan replaced about 15 times.
Finally burned up the engine & rebuilt it, Then rolled it and repaired
it. Then traded for a
67 Pontiac Firebird 400 4speed Convertible What a fun car to drive, once
ditched a cop that saw me pull a u-turn but that damn Motorola was
faster. (I was young, dumb and full of ....). Blew the engine and sold it.
6? VW Bug Ragtop loads of fun in the boonies. Inherited this one after
hitting it in the HS parking lot (she made a left turn right in front of
me when I had 3 people siting on the hood of the Vega. I was ferrying
them to another car after we were let out of school early when the
basketball team won the state championship. We were headed for the river
for an afternoon kegger. Finally the brakes went and I pulled the
gearshift out of the tranny trying to downshift too fast. Given to a
friend that collected VW's
72 Mercury Capri, My folks gave to my new wife as a car since I couldn't
keep mine going ;-) (I wrecked it a couple years later)
78 Toyota Corolla SR5 Liftback First New Car. Traded for
84 Dodge Caravan LBC Support Vehicle also new off the lot. Traded in for
Neon.
75 MG Midget bought in 78 for $2200. Kept it until a fool High Schooler
(see above) in Big Amurican Iron stopped short on a green light on rainy
streets. No fenders and lights. Insurance Auction let us get a
78 MG Midget in 80 or 81 which we still have and is the car that went
Skyline to NC and back to PA, and will be in MD at MG on the Rocks this
weekend. (If anybody ever tells me where to meet I'd love to join a
caravan)
Last But least
96 Dodge Neon (New this year)
Larry Macy
78 Midget
(the daughter is 21 and in 5 years she has had a 81 Champ (my
mom's),wrecked; an 87 VW Golf, burned up, and a 94 Geo Tracker.
