| Hi again,
I am a little less concerned about my 'high' oil pressure,
thanks to all who responded, but I am still trying to solve
the poor idle, occasional splutter, etc.
I feel next, I have to rebuild the carb, and I have a gross jet,
rebuild kit, adjusting tool etc. In the past I have never been
able to adjust this damn Stromberg anyway?
The other thought is this 'Gulp' valve thing (this is a California
smog car) - something else I don't understand or how to check,
but understand it can cause a car to run badly.
Anyway, first I checked the plugs, all seemed to be OK - lightish
grey, then I checked the compression in the cylinders:- the first
three were 130 psi - I thought pretty good for 67,000 miles ?,
but the fourth was 113 psi ? - should I be concerned about this?
- Any comments again would be very much appreciated, I seem
to be doing a lot of investigating, but no progress.
                       Thanks again,
                             Bye,
