After a long e-mail discussion with A.B. Bonds, we came to the conclusion that my left hub was missing the spacer and that almost any torque on the nut put a bind on the bearings. Pulled the hub off my parts car and used its spacer and even found one of the two shims it contained to be acceptable. Thanks to all for the help, especially A.B. Randy (I'm not posting where I work anymore, its worse than a discussion about politics or religion) Rees |
