A group of classic car enthusiasts meet up by an open air swimming pool,
and start talking and comparing notes. All of a sudden, there is a
blinding flash and before them stands a lucky leprechaun. This
leprechaun, like all leprechauns, has magic powers and a sense of
mischief, and announces to the stunned car owners that the slide into
the pool has been given magical properties; if the person using it calls
out the name of a drink connected with the home town of his car, he will
find that the water in the pool will magically change into that drink.
So the Corvette owner climbs the steps and calls out `Kentucky
Moonshine' as he slips down the slide - and his wish is granted.
Naturally, after enjoying an unusual swim, he bottles the stuff and
later sells it for a healthy profit - enough to buy another ten
Corvettes. Next goes the Porsche owner, calling out `Liebfraumilch' and
getting his wish granted in the same manner. This is followed by the
Alfa Romeo owner, who gets Chianti, and the MG owner who gets `Old
Speckled Hen' (for the uninitiated, a beer brewed by Morlands of
Abingdon). Now the Triumph owner - a simple person - doesn't want to be
left out, but he doesn't have a clue as to what drink might be connected
with Coventry, the home of his TR4. But he is keen to enjoy himself, so
he climbs the steps, gets on the slide and calls out `weee.....' on the
way down.....
