Do you know what the correct float setting is suposed to be?

I'll second that. My Weber 32/36 DGV was a victim of sloppy off-idle
accleration until I correctly set the float. And it was only off by
mere fractions.
You're gonna have to buy a caliper ( I got mine from Sears for $5) to do
the job right.
