I have a 1987 MGB in Akron, OH and I think I should sell it because someone
younger would use and appreciate it more. I bought it about two years ago
and have put about 1000 miles on it. I have also had the engine rebuilt
and the clutch replaced. It has about 67,000 miles on it total. Two
previous owners; with the first putting on the bulk of the miles. When I
bought it, I found that the last owner had let a small leak in the hose to
the coolant tank let it run out of coolant: thus the rebuild. My mistake.
The car has lttle rust. The driver's floor panel and the trunk were rusty
and pitted under the pads, but I got that stopped and repainted them in
time. There are a few pit spots on the trunk lid that I have rust stopped
and painted which are not polished out, but as far as I can tell everything
is pretty solid, principally because the car has mostly been driven in a
more benign climate and has had little or no exposure to salt here.
I would appreciate any thoughts one might have as to an appropriat selling
price if I could find someone who wanted to put some miles on this nice LBC.
