I've always thought non-synchro trannys grind only when the clutch is
out of adjustment. That is, the clutch isn't disenaging enough to let
the input shaft stop. So I would still say hydraulics.
1) Wouldn't hurt to bleed the hydraulics again.
2) What is the condition of the rubber seals? Fluid color?
3) Make sure there is no mechanical wear at the cleevis pin and
fork at both the master and slave cylinders. Also, make sure
everything is bolted down -- slave not flexing.
4) Don't old 'A's have adjustable pushrods between the pedal crank
and the master cylinder (or is that just the brake MC)?
My advice is worth what you pay for it...
