Thanks to all who offered some ideas on my clunk from the TD rack
housing. Took a spare rack and pinion (don't we all have these on the
shelf?) over to Rob Medynski in NJ and he drilled and tapped the right
side damper boss(for either left or right hand drive, remember). I will
pick up and hopefully this will tighten up the rack and eliminate the
clunk. Greg Prehodka did this fix on his racer TD, too and fixed the
problem, so I'm optimistic.
If you notice a sharp clunk at slow speed over any surface, this is the
only fix for it.
