Joel:
Your Pertronix unit will not fit the euro spec points type dist.
The plastic magnet rotor will only fit the non-cam shaft. Also the
mounting base for the pertronix amp is set up for the US market
baseplate. There are Pertronix kits available for the UK dist. either
red (DSB108) points or blue (DSB191) points.
I have a Pertronix installed in a 41427 dist. that I will be using
in my 73 MGBGT. The 41427 is designed for use with ported vacuum (early
SU HS) and the early camshaft profile. I will be using HS carbs, KN
filters, Peco exh. and a mild street cam (5 deg adv.) Intended use:
Long range commuting (100 mile round trip, all highway). This setup
seems to be the best balance for conservative long term driving.

Kelvin.
