Hi Rich,
Have the same problem with my '72 and '75. Best thing I did was to
remove the bezels from the instruments (they will twist off if you're
careful) remove and clean the glass, dust off the instrument faces with a
tiny paintbrush and reassemble. Slight improvement noted, but an
improvement nevertheless.
