Great time with a bunch of great folks. From the list there was Dave
Houser (MGA coupe) and Peter Schauss w/ son Matt (Healey 3000). Peter
and I met up with approx. 15 cars off the Taconic Parkway (New York)
and headed for Lime Rock Racetrack (CT). Sky were overcasted but no
rain so top down was the way we went. After borsing "paddock" area and
seeing Rileys, Bugattis, Allard, C-type, E-types 120, 150 and SS Jags
and lots of MGA and Lotus 7 Vintage racers we head the for the "short
track" at the training school for some timed laps competition. Of the
20+ or so cars running I came in a repectable 6th behind Mitzubitshi
3000, a Viper, a Grand National, a MGC, TR6 and a 1275 powered Bugeye.
I bested the other Bs by a considerable margin. Was a blast. Today's
run put me at just over 4,000 miles in the last 7 weeks since the 75 B
came back from rebuild. Think it's broken in yet? Great ride home and
now to bed so I can get up early and head to New Windsor, New York for
the "D.A.R.E. to be British" event. Safety Fast, David Deutsch
