The roads around here are pretty rough- potholes. frost heaves, etc. yet
the car exhibits very little cowl shake. It is much better than the
Spit**re that I had and at least as good as the 84 Cor***te that replaced
it (and was replaced by the A). I remember when the C4 chassis was
introduced it was considered to be much stiffer than version it replaced.
Good old Syd and company did a very good job on the A chassis.

I have to agree with you Bill. The MGA has a very solid feel to it and is a
very good cruising car. Compared to the chassis designs "that I'm familiar
with", it has to be the best thought out design. They (Syd) even chose to
use a heavier gauge steel on the frame, which shows the interest in quality
of the design. There is a definite difference between the feel of the MGA
and my old GT6, which was built 14 years later. I do miss the performance of
the GT6 though.
