Our week ended with a tour of some twenty MGs touring the very hot wine
country, a vintage race at Sears Point (Wine Country Classic) which saw Al
Moss racing his Morgan 3 wheeler and Pete Thelander trying to keep the
temperature down on his MG NE Magnette.....the same car that Nuvaroli was to
have raced in the Tourist Throphy race of 1934. The Sunday was a very well
attended swap meet at Dixon, Ca with lots of LBC's and swappers.....including
one that had a hand brake set up out of an A40 that fits my
Mayflower.......Today is the start of the California Mille here in San
Francisco and on the front page of the morning paper is a very neat 8"x8"
picture of a chap climbing into the cockpit of his '30 Bentley.....what did
they use all those gages for?? You might be able to get a copy of this
picture on www.sfgate.com....
Saturday I pick up my Arnolt after a respray to correct a bad paint
condition....Ah!, life is Good!!!
Cheers, Terry
