After spending the weekend playing with my new toy I have
came to the conclusion that it is the best MG that I have
ever driven. BL dropped the ball when they choose not to
sell the V-8's in the states.

In building this one I spent a pile of money and dealt with a
few vendors,good and bad.
The only bad one is a well known self-proclaimed V-8
specialist who has had my tachometer for 7 months after
cashing my check in 6 minutes. I have spent more on calls
to hear fairy tales about why it is not done than on the
conversion. I will have to visit him in Carlilse to jog his memory.

On they other hand, vendors like Dick Burger at The British
Parts Connection make a large project like this possible
for a working bloke. When you are spending thousands of dollars 20
percent savings is serious cash. Not to mention being able
to deal with someone who is honest and cares about his
customers. Dick treats his customers like family.
No, probably better.

Another vendor who deserves a mention is Ted Schumacher at TS
Imports. Lots of good information and a great V-8 parts
source. I am using one of Ted's new mini-starters and it
whips that bad boy over with ease.

In appreciation for all of Dick's help Linda and I are
bringing the V-8 to Carlilse and will be helping Dick and Ginger at the
British Parts Connection tent. We will be around to answer
tech questions and meet old and new friends.

In the next week and a half I'll have to drive it every
chance I can to break it in. Life is good.
