Hi folks - I need some advice.
I bought my '76 Midget knowing that the fan clutch was slipping. I
had planned on replacing the fan clutch assembly. I've now learned
that I may have the option of replacing the existing fan clutch
assembly with a water pump that has a solid fan assembly hence no
clutch to slip. Seems like a good idea to me. I've never replaced a
water pump before but my manual seems fairly detailed and I'm
willing to give it a shot.
So my questions:
Any reason I should just replace the clutch assembly?
If I replace the entire water pump, any pre-repair warnings from
the experienced?
Thanks in advance for all comments and suggestions.
