P.S. I wrote my Senator, John Burton, and got a form-like letter stating that
he was aware of my position as well as many Californians' desire for clean air.
He wrote that he would give the issue careful consideration when it comes up
for
a vote. I guess he is firmly straddling the fence.

There is a web page for the CA government where you can find your State
Senator. The address is http://www.ca.gov/gov/legisca.html. Get your
Senator's name and phone # and give him/her a call. If this goes through,
I may just go out and buy that mid 70's B that I've always wanted and Beef
it up a little.
