True story:
Every day for 17 years, my drive to work took me past a house that had a
falling down garage near the road. There were fairly decent sized trees
in the driveway, so it clearly had not been used for many years. One
morning, I was surprised to see one door of the garage open. From the
depths I could see the morning sun glinting on a headlight.
I did a fast 180 and drove back, as any car nut would, anticipating maybe
an XK120 or T-type MG that had been locked up since the 50's, when the
family's only son had failed to return from Korea, or some such. I was
already wondering what my bank balance was. My heart was beating a bit
faster as I peered through the door...
...and saw a very dirty Renault R5.
