Hear hear!
I once had a colleague that incessantly moaned about the lack of reliabil=
ity
of British cars, then admitted that he never put any oil in the engine =
till the
red light came on or the rear axle till it whined!
Only the other day two other colleagues were driving a brand-new car up =
the
motorway at 70 mph when the oil light came on. They decided to press on =
till
the next services until the engine seized a couple of miles further on. =
Someone had left the oil filler cap off.
I believe in preventative maintenance, but more importantly, in keeping =
my eyes
and ears open. Investigate anything unusual. Remember, your car talks =
to you,
it is up to you to listen.
