I know that Moss and some of the other places sell a 4-pot caliper
conversion for the MGB. Also I believe that calipers from an Austin
Princess will fit a MGB but I think you have to out Ford Transit pads. I
think I read this in "How to Power Tune The MGB". You can also go whole
hog and get AP or Brembo brakes but then the brakes would be worth more
than the car !!!
However before upgrading your brakes ask your self what problems you are
trying to solve ?
I have a completely restored MGB with every part of the braking system
brand new. I have no problems with the brakes at all. I can get all 4
wheels to lock up with surprising little pedal pressure, the car stops
straight, the brakes do not fade too badly. I think the MGB brakes in
standard form are excellent for every day driving.
Before embarking on spending lots of $$$$ to upgrade the calipers there
are many things you can do :
1 - rebuild the brake system COMPLETELY
2 - change brake pad/shoe material (I hear the new Mintex compound is
excellent)
3 - fit vented rotors (this will not increase braking capabilities but
will reduce fade)
4 - change rear wheel cylinder diameters
5 - add a servo
