Michael, You need to speak to Art Ziesk in Texas, who specializes in MG's with A/C. He was in an A Coupe at John Twist's last year driven from Texas. He sells a kit or will install in your car. It was a beautiful installation. I'm planning on same for my 67BGT, maybe the A coupe,too. He told me the B engine has no problem, neither does the 1600 but you will feel the load on the 1500.
