I just received an information packet from our local MG club(they said I can
be a member if I have a Sprite) and I must say, you guys blow away the Porsche
Club of America!! The things you guys did this past year sounded like so much
fun, and the cars were actually involved!! Porsche Club events usually consist
of going to a really expensive restaurant to eat, and half of the people don't
even bring their cars. When they DO have a rally or autocross, maybe about 4
or 5 people might show up, and they think that's a good turnout. I am sending
in my membership dues today, and I can't wait until next year when I can go to
some of this fun stuff, and meet some of you un-stuffy people!
PS-I am considering looking specifically for a '58 Sprite, so when we go
autocrossing with our local clubs, I can park next to Barney's #58, and I can
be #58 Jr. My husband thinks this is hysterical-he is easily amused, I guess.
