Ed I know the feeling. While the paint on neither of my MG's is show
quality (yet!) I live in constant dread of dropping something on the wings
and REALLY screwing it up. My wife, bless her LBC lovin' soul, bought us a
set of vinyl, fabric backed fender covers for each. They're designed for
exactly this purpose. The set for the GT are the generic, one size fits all
variety but the set for the TC are the fitted type from MOSS. The latter
fit very well, slipping over the side markers and provide a lot of peace of
mind.....especially when the work slows and the barley sandwiches start
flowing! I'm sure someone makes a similar cover for a TF. Check MOSS or
Abingdon Spares.
