Junkyards

There used to be three particularly good junkyards in this area. One had
somewhere around nine Sunbeam Imps, must be a stateside record for Imps in a
junkyard. The other two had an assortment of Austin Americas, Marinas, a
Ford Cortina that a friend claimed had the twin-cam but the accident that
had sent it there had crushed the hood/bonnet closed and I couldn't check,
four Alfas--a Giulia Bertone, a 1750 GTV and 2 Giulietta Spiders, 2 NSUs,
and the usual suspects -- MGs, Triumphs, Porsches etc...
  Alas, a flurry of bridge/road building in the late 70s closed one yard,
moved another -- during which the really neat stuff was crushed. The
remaining yard no longer lets people just wander around -- insurance etc...
