I find this a little difficult... about two weeks ago a tree fell on my =
'72 B, the one I had mistakenly referred to as almost complete, now just =
getting started.
State Farm was out today, I get the distinct impression they're going =
to call it a total and offer some token settlement, which I,of course, =
will be expected to accept meekly and surrender the remains and title to =
whatever hell it is they send it to. I don't think I can let that =
happen. I have accumulated enough spare parts to start over, but the =
same tree that got the hood(bonnet) on the car also got the spare one =
sitting outside next to the garage. Does any one in the Chicago area =
have a good used hood(bonnet) for sale? I stress Chicago area as I can =
barely afford the part,much less the truck freight. Pretty much gonna =
have to pick it up, I think, unless SF is far more generous than I =
expect.
