Valve lash pertains to one of several things:
1. The Machiavelian practice of punishing your valves for floating
precisely when you pull out to pass that dreaded Tr***ph at the start of
the straight.
2. The feeling the valves have at the moment they make more than a passing
aquaintance with your piston dome during said hero driving session. Very
much similar to the human condition of whiplash.
3. The practice of tying said valves back into your MG's head with bailing
wire to get home again after above hero driving technique.
4. The clearance between the valve stem and the rocker arm as adjusted
whenever a blue moon presents itself.
I hope this satisfies your inquiry.
