Steve:
Depends a lot on how much body prep work there is to do. If you have the usual
amount of dings and dents, and want a really nice job, you can count on about
$2200-2500 in North Carolina from a first class body shop - considerably less
from Maaco or one of the discount paint chains. The earlier price should
include
painting all sills, trunk compartment, door jambs, etc.
There are a lot of small, one-man operations around that would work for
considerably less. With most of them, you just leave your car and hope they
"get around to it" sooner or later, but the price is somewhat less. Just make
sure you have seen some of their work. A lot of guys know how to paint, but
they
don't always know how to level a dent so that you can't tell it. (The voice of
experience.
