I have owned 4 Oldsmobile Diesel powered cars. They all came from the factory
with two big 12V batteries (750 Cold cranking amps EACH). I have never had a
problem with charging them. I did however always replace them in pairs and made
sure they were the same make and model. This came in handy (other than starting
on those <0 Deg. F days) twice. Once in the summer I left my dome light on
overnight. Started the next morining. One battery died and I diconnected it and
got home on the other.
