Bob - I took my TC to the Moss event in Buellton last weekend and had a great
weekend. Lots of lbc's, but it seemed mostly Triumphs and Healys. Many
MGB's, but very few T-Types, at least in the rallies and slolom. Didn't stay
for the show on Sunday, electing to tour back up to Cambria via back roads
with 2 other Southern California TC's. Managed to turn a 100 mile journey
into five hours of beautiful driving and dining. Spent Monday fine tuning
(?) the steering on my car readying for the trip to GOF in Stevenson, WA next
month.
For me, the Moss event starred a Peerless, a racing Berkely (scheduled to run
at Laguna Seca next month), a georgeous Morgan 3-wheeler and an XK120 in
beautiful original condition recently purchased by a friend of mine. The
downsides were a kit car, a DeLorean and a baby pink chrome bumper MGB. Lots
of beautiful B's and Midgets..a horde of TR3's and Sprites and garage queen
AH's. A very nice event, although next year I will only go for Saturday and
Sunday, rather than all three days. It did stretch out a bit ( or perhaps
my attention span is shrinking in my old age).
