Well I am confused. What do you mean by flanged, and armature? I just
did my clutch Master two nights ago and I found that I had the newer
type M/C and an older type rebuild kit.
The Vicky-Brit kit may include parts for both. I don't know. I've used
LUCAS and Lockeed kits they had the correct parts(assuming I ordered
the right style)
There are two types of internals for the M/C. The later type uses two
doughnut shaped seals on the piston the earlier type uses one doughnut
shape and one cup shape. The cup may or may not have a dimple in the
center to locate the spring end. The pistons are shaped differently. On
the older style the spring end of the piston is flat. The newer style
has a protrusion to hold the doughnut seal.
The complete M/C's are interchangable but the internals are different.
The newer type is marked with two concentric circles on the end that
has the pipe connected.
It sounds like you may have the older style M/C and a new style kit If
so, DON'T buy the old style kit. I have one that I will give to you.
Just e-Mail me!
I tried to do some ascii art of the piston shapes but gave up. Can you
read GIF,JPG, TIFF, PCX.....etc..etc
