I belong to MG Car Club Long Island Centre, North American MGB
Register, Eastern N.Y. MGA, American MGB Association and British
Motoring of Southern N.J.
I joined so many clubs because I like Newsletters and of course I love
the cars. I do find there is an awful lot of club politics that I try
to stay as far away from as possible.
The club "outings" are great. Last October MGCCLIC took 8 cars in a
caravan from Long Island to Westminster Vermont all back roads through
small towns approx. 300 miles and it was a blast. We hope to do the
same this year and are planning a similar trip to attend BALTIMORE MG
Club's "MGs on the Rocks" on September 28.
I've made alot of good friends and a couple of enemies. I never had
trouble making friends but to be able to find a couple of people you
can really dislike and who feel the same way about you or at least you
hope they do is wonderful.
Anyway for me belonging to clubs is fun. There are a couple I will not
be renewing membership with after one year but I'll probably re place
them with other clubs
I 'd also like to say that Clubs or no clubs if you own a british car
you should be receiving The British Marque Newspaper (monthly) and The
Registry.
For those who get The MGB Driver publication let me know if you like my
artical is issue (may/june) and if you don't like it don't bother
contacting me, Safety Fast, David Deutsch
