Ignition switches

We have had a lot of reports of ignition switch failures lately,
perhaps Lucas and Ford are using the same sub-contractor?  At least
the MGs don't seem to burst into front-end-eating flames.  And, since
I got no MG mailings today, perhaps the same start switch is on the
PC that provides this service?
