Once again there was an ad in the paper for an aluminum 3.5l V-8
(actually two, one a 1980 Rover and one a 1963 Buick) and I have been
bitten by the bug which seems to get me every year or so of thinking of
converting my B to an MGBRV8. Have any of you people done this (I'm sure
someone has)?
How bad was it to get everything to fit? I downloaded the V-8 conversion
doc off the web and it talks about replacing the world, modifying
everything from the bonnet to the gas tank. However, I saw one a couple
years ago at a car show and it didn't look that bad.
Any info on this would be appreciated. From the info in the ad, it
sounds as though the engine is out of the car. Any advice in how to
evaluate an engine which probably is not running?
Thanks,
Bob
