I'm looking for some help/opinions on the repair of the speedometer drive gear in my 66b. I have a good speedometer, cable, and angle-drive gear at the gearbox. It seems the last place to look is the internal drive gear in the gearbox. Has anyone ever replaced this gear while leaving the gearbox in the car. The car has a stock non-syncro gearbox and no overdrive. It sure would be nice to see how fast I'm really going! Thanks in advance. Bob McDonald |
