Nick, I installed one years ago in my TR-3 with some success. I had to install a pressure regulator as well because the fuel pump would push gas past the float. One reason most people install them near the gas tank is so they won't have to suck the gas uphill. I installed mine as a crude anti-theft device for one of the easiest cars in the world to steal. With the hidden shut-off switch turned off, the car would only drive for a couple of blocks. Jim H |
