Anyone brining a car in from out of state shoudla lso be rpeared to pay a $300 "import" fee unless there's a plate on the caar that says it meets Cal (Not US) emission stds. Been there/done that--John Trifari 1955 Healey (no smog); 1980 MGB won in a raffle in Illinois and brought to Cal. PO had stripped all smog gear off and instralled an illegal weber wannabe. Car now Cal-OK, but runs like a VW |
