Dear Sir/Madam,
1. I have recently acquired a 1977 MGB. The gear shift lever has at one
time had a switch for overdrive (it's now just a hole in the top of the gear
shift knob). Looking under the car it appears it does not have overdrive
fitted. Should the overdrive unit be easy to see from underneath, how can I
be sure?
2. I can't remove the filler bolt in the gear box to replace the oil, must
have been in since new. Can I use a hammer on the wrench without damaging
the casing?
Any ideas?
