You're not going to believe this....
While at the Sonic last night, I was relaxing, taking in the night air,
etc...and pushed in the test button on the brake light. It does not work. It
worked last week.
I can only assume that a diode has, in fact, spontaneously generated itself,
and then failed. sigh.
This means that we, the Scions of Lucas, must amend the Laws of British
Automobiles, to include this newfound ability.
Thus, I hereby move that Law #5 be amended to include this ability, the revised
text reading: (proposed amendment in double quotation marks)
5. RECENTLY DISCOVERED COMPONENT FAILURE LAW
'Any component of a British Sports Car which is entirely
unknown to the owner shall function perfectly, until such
time that the owner becomes aware of the component's
existence, when it shall instantly fail.'
"Further, When the Owner shall become aware of any part found on any other
British Sports Car, the Owner's British Sports Car will spontaneously
generate a similar part of its own, which will then immediately fail."
