I'm having a similar problem with my TD. The colortune (colour for
the Brits) says my idle is too rich, as do my plugs. I also tuned
my carbs by the "lift the piston" method and the pistons say
the carbs are tuned correctly, although one carb jet came out
all the way up (zero flats). I wonder if idle is supposed to be on
the rich side? I have not checked the colortune above 1500 rpm. Are
there any experts out there who can clear this up ?
P.S. Is the term "Brits" politically correct? I do not want to
offend our friends across the pond.
