your B speedo is powered by a cable, no electrics involved. Your choices are
(in likelyhood of failure)
1 the angle drive at the trans.. disconnect and see if is intact and input
rotates output
2 your speedo cable... disconnect from speedo, same test as above while
disconnected at both ends
3 your speedo itself....get a little slot screwdriver the same thickness as
the speedo cable end and put into the back of the speedo and rotate... the
needle should move a little if it's ok
4 the drive gear in the trans that runs the speedo drive ... two bolts and
lots of trans fluid (use castrol 20-50 motor oil!) later you can inspect it.
