NoNONOOO!!!!
Carburator is a French word that means LEAVE IT ALONE!
If the car runs ok, leave it ok.If you do a tune up and insist in fiddling
with the silly things, get EVERYTHING else right first...timing, dwell,
valves, plugs, etc. THEN and only then work on the carbs. If you plan
ambitious tweaks this way study the manual and buy a Unisyn carb balancer
first. Sorry to shout, but many pitfalls lie on the path you are
suggesting...
The one thing you must do every couple of weeks is top up the carbs with a
light oil...atf, 3in1, 10w, 20w max. See how it responds right off throttle,
if it seems to choke and sputter momentarily it may need oil or heavier oil.
( I know, everybody on the list has their own opinion on the best oil to use,
but the main point is to use it!)
Congrats on the purchase and much fun motoring
Safety Fast!
