The friend I share a workshop with, just went through this last week.
He went to "Price Club" or "Sam's" or another of the big warehouse type
of places and bought 4 tyres (185-70x14) on sale for $99 total. He then
went to a tyres shop and they fitted tubes inside the tyres and finished
it off with balancing.
He has had no problems in the week since he has been driving the car.

PS - I install tubes ina ALL my tyres for my pro-rally car, and in the
4 years that I have been rallying, I have never had a problem with
fitting tubes inside a modern radial. IF HOWEVER - you are cruising on
the interstate for hours on end, you may want to stop every now and
again and feel the temperature of the sidewalls. Tubes cause friction
inside the tyre and may heat up the tyre too much. For short distances
(<100 miles ?), I would not worry about it.
