MGF

I read about the MGF in Road and Track last night.  Does anyone here
have the inside scoop.  Have you or anyone you know driven one?
Is it really an MG or just a something like a del sol?  The car looks
interesting to me.  I wonder if anyone knows what the plans may be
for importation to America.  If the cost is similar to a Miata I may have
to go look at one.
