Thank you all those who helped with this problem.  I got, as usual, a lot 
of intelligent help form the list.

It would appear that there are different parts for the roadster and GT.  A 
quick trail fit seems to indicate they are not interchangeable.  The 
roaster one has an extra lip thing which does not work on the GT.

Again my many thanks for those helpful photos and advice
