If they were hopping then they would squeal just as they left the road and
again as they joined it. Or once started spinning at the first 'hop' they
just carried on, it being easier to continue than start, due to the
rotational inertia of all the running gear. If they ain't squealing now
they ain't spinning. Or it's wet. I'm sure some enterprising person will
have come up with an oscillator and speaker system mounted down by the
wheels so you can get that highly desirable chirp or squeal back again ...
