Not enough time to play, and too many other projects to take care of at
the moment. The workshop is up, wired, has air and lift, but now I need
to work on the wife's side of the shop. Priorities, priorities.

V8 project status:

MGB V8 Project: Needs trans tunnel massage, engine trial fit so header
holes can be cut, then some dog leg repair, and paint before assembly.

Rover SD1: Gotta change out the Holley secondary springs and replace
the pump diaphragm. The cam probably has some flat lobes, but the car
is drivable and being used as backup daily driver.

TR8: Swap in the new starter, then reassemble and check out the fuel
injection. Gotta check to see if the car has fallen off the DMV records
before getting the title changed to my name. The car has been off the
road since 95 and CA hits you with a wammy if you don't Non-Op register
it. No rush on this, as the B has priority.
So it will eventually drop from California's records and you can re-register it without penalty. California is so weird.

68 Morgan +8: Have to install the front suspension crossmember and
radiator to the new frame and figure out where the engine mounts set.
Once that is done, then it's time to drop in a core powertrain so the
firewall can be trimmed and the gearbox mounts fabricated.
So is the cross member ash, or just a 2x4? :-) sorry I couldn' resist. I
love Morgans.

And if this isn't enough, I have to find the time to part out: two SD1s,
a TR8, a 3500S and an MGB GT. The partridge in the pear tree is
optional.
Sounds like you're opening your own junk yard.

Anyone want to come out to California for the holidays and help out?

Very interested in the Mega Squirt and Hot Wire setup, lemme know how it
goes together. I've been collecting Hot Wire parts and some time want
to pull the 4bbl off the Rover SD1 and go with the updated fuel
injection.
These look really cool.

All the best

Kelvin.

We won't even discuss the MGC GTS or MGA/Miata Twincam

As to my project. Well, mine's in the dream stage. As it's been for years. :-) First, the 1800 has to die, and I have to decide to not rebuild it. Then, Overhaulin' has to come in and steal my car and drop
the V8 in it in a week. :-)

I'm also liking Mac Townsends idea of a Ford 4cylinder (Duratec) conversion. The Mega Squirt sounds like a great way to go on something like this.
