I don't know how the 4bbl compares to the 2bbl but with an MGC bonnet I am
able to fit the 2bbl with its stock airbox. The system is about 1/8" from
contacting the C bonnet so I wouldn't recommend running the setup, but it
gave a real good baseline. I ended up getting an adapter to fit my 4bbl
airbox onto a 2bbl carb.
One other reason that the 4bbl isn't mentioned much, is that it seems to be
fairly uncommon. I wouldn't go so far to call it rare, but it is definitely
uncommon.
Also, I went to autozone and advance the other day looking for the choke
conversion kit. The specific autozone I went to didn't seem to carry it but
they thought they did. Advance did have it. In both cases it was located
in the Help! section. I paid $9.99 for it and it included a cable. I will
be putting it on this weekend after I am finished with finals.
