Make sure you have the spacer and distributor drive gears the right way
round on the camshaft, and like Larry, don't ask.  If the oil flows with a
drill on the pump shaft then it will with the distributor in.  Primed with
Vaseline mine started pumping (with much suggestive slurping) from almost
the first turn of a very slow drill.
